Competing with the JPK39 in the Aegean600, is by now a tradition. This 600 Nm race, is destined to be a classic, along with the other big 600 races. Slaloming through the scenic and windy greek islands, the boats and crews are put to the test.
This year, we participated with our dream team. A bunch of very good and crazy sailors, getting a bit old and requiring to keep the bimini on board (it was actually super useful in the luls). We had very little practice but very good team spirit, a lot of perseverance and surpsisingly good food.
The guys remembered the boat well from our previous races, very quickly they adapted and we were pushing all the time, even though we thought of quiting a few times in some big luls, in the less windy version of the race in its 5th edition.
Hopefully, we will have similar results in the Rolex Middle Sea Race in October. This team is not coming, but already some very good sailors have registered. A few slots remaining, who will join?
